Lydia began her career as a massage therapist in 1995, after studying at The Myotherapy College of Utah, in Salt Lake City. From 2015-2016 she attended a series of seminars by John Morgan at The Western North Carolina School of Massage in Asheville, and was certified in Clinical Neuromuscular and Structural Bodywork. She learned NMT techniques to release TMJ, neck and back pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, and tennis elbow. She is also certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage, Geriatric or Senior Massage and Reflexology, and CranioSacral Therapy.
CranioSacral Therapy can help release stress and tension and ease the fatigue and symptoms related to medications and medical procedures. CranioSacral Therapy is a form of energy work that uses gentle movements to encourage the body’s own self-healing mechanisms and balance the subtle rhythm of the central nervous system. CST can be helpful for headaches, migraines, concussions, neck and back pain, as well as any stress related issue, such as grief and anxiety.
Lydia is also an approved provider of continuing education by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She teaches TMJ Focus Massage, Ethics: Clear Connections Through Jungian Shadow Work, Envision: A Guided Life Design Workshop, and has other classes in development.
